W 75-63

Last night’s win brought the Valkyries to a perfect 3-0 against the Indiana Fever this season and extended their active winning streak to three games. The Valks are now 21-18, 3 games above .500, and sitting in the sixth playoff spot!
The game got off to a stop-and-go start, as play was interrupted multiple times in the first two minutes due to a shot clock malfunction, rumored to be because of a power outage the night before. In total, the stoppage resulted in a 30+ minute delay and at one point, Indiana returned to their locker room. Not a great look for the WNBA product, but the teams stayed tough. The Valks stayed on the court during the stoppage time and were ready to go when play resumed, going on a 6-0 run and ending the first quarter 25-14. The high-octane quarter saw the Valks shoot 7-8 from behind the arc, tying their most made threes in a quarter and their highest percentage with at least four attempts.
The Valks’ last home stand of the regular season continues this week, with games every other day for the next 6 days. Ballhalla will be closing out the season strong, just like our team!
